Six ideas we
refuse to negotiate.
The principles below are not marketing language. They are the working conditions under which every product, hire and partnership at CyberShield is decided.
Craft over volume
We would rather ship one system correctly than ten systems quickly. Volume is a vanity metric; craft compounds.
Own what you build
We do not deliver code and disappear. We operate every product we ship, indefinitely, with the teams that built them.
Design in decades
Every architectural decision assumes the system will be running ten years from now. This changes what we choose, and what we refuse.
Refuse the trend
New tools are welcomed only when they clearly outperform the tools they replace. Fashion is expensive. Restraint is not.
Speak plainly
No jargon in documentation. No jargon in interfaces. No jargon with clients. Complexity is not a substitute for depth.
Hire quietly
We hire slowly, keep people for a long time, and give them the room to become good at one thing before asking them to do another.
The rest is just work.
